Responsibilities

• Provide instruction based on district-approved curriculum.
• Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
• Evaluate pupils' academic and social growth and maintain records.
• Communicate with parents/guardians via conferences, notes, calls, email, newsletters.
• Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior.
• Identify pupil needs and participate in developing IEP strategies.
• Instruct pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter.
• Coordinate work of paraprofessionals, parents and volunteers.
• Create a functional and organized learning environment.
• Adhere to professional conduct codes.
