Job summary

BOND Building Construction in Boston is seeking a Project Safety Monitor/Construction Project Manager to oversee subcontractor activities and enforce health and safety plans on site. You will work with the Superintendent to monitor progress and keep the project schedule on track.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience in construction
• Requires exceptional supervisory and interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain positive working relationships
• Builder's license and appropriate education and certifications (OSHA, First Aid, CPR, etc.)
• Knowledge of Owner Contracts, drawings, subcontractor agreements, scope and risk management
• Understanding of construction knowledge including site work, concrete, masonry, mechanical and electrical
• Experience with scheduling processes and use of a project plan
• Detail-oriented, organized, flexible, multitasking in fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management and prioritization to meet deadlines and deliverables
• Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Manage all subcontractor activities
• Perform as the Project Safety Monitor and ensure health and safety plans are implemented
• Understand scheduling process and actively status field progress
• Lead and supervise workers with Superintendent
• Perform basic take-offs and estimating skills for change orders
• Collaborate with management by informing progress, summarizing information and trends
• Track/record construction documents, punch lists and changes
• Attend and document Safety, Subcontractor and Owner meetings
• Provide input with pre-job planning, strategizing and scheduling
• Mentor subordinates and promote team atmosphere reflecting values
