Job summary

Crescent Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the successful execution of water, wastewater, and heavy civil construction projects in Texas.

The Assistant Superintendent works closely with the Superintendent and project team to help coordinate daily field operations, maintain schedules, support subcontractor and self‑perform activities, and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of field experience in heavy civil, water, or wastewater construction.
• Experience supporting field supervision, crew coordination, or subcontractor oversight preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and quality control requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel, subcontractors, and management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with day‑to‑day field supervision of construction activities
• Help coordinate subcontractors, crews, equipment, and material deliveries
• Support implementation of the project schedule and assist with short‑term planning
• Monitor work progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Assist with site logistics, work sequencing, and coordination between trades
• Help enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site‑specific safety requirements
• Participate in job hazard analyses, safety meetings, and daily planning meetings
• Assist with documentation including daily reports, work progress tracking, and issue resolution
• Communicate effectively with project management, field crews, subcontractors, and inspectors
• Support punch list completion, inspections, and closeout activities
• Perform additional duties as directed by the Superintendent or Project Manager
