Job summary

MPI is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support delivery of high-profile multifamily, student housing, mixed-use and commercial developments. The role focuses on coordinating field operations, supervising subcontractors, and maintaining schedule and quality on projects valued at $60M+.

You will collaborate with experienced construction leaders, enforce safety procedures, and help drive project momentum from start to finish across Northern Virginia.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing field operations on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong scheduling and coordination with subcontractors and vendors.
• Demonstrated leadership and effective communication on site.
• Solid understanding of safety practices and quality control.
• Ability to solve field challenges and maintain project momentum.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day field operations on large-scale projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors and trade partners to meet schedule and safety standards.
• Support project leadership with site logistics, planning and execution.
• Monitor activities to ensure quality and compliance with requirements.
• Help enforce safety procedures and promote site safety culture.
• Work with project teams to track progress and resolve field issues.
• Participate in meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Assist with scheduling and sequencing to support timely completion.
• Maintain project documentation and site reports.
