Job summary

3i is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent in managing daily field operations for commercial projects in Dallas, TX. You will coordinate manpower, material deliveries, and field activities while interpreting plans and maintaining quality and safety on site.

You will assist in scheduling, document control, and coordination with Project Engineers and subcontractors to ensure on-time project completion and orderly workflow.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification is required.
• Procore Knowledge and Experience.
• Read and Interpret Plans and Specs.
• Bluebeam Experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite Efficiency.
• Computer knowledge and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist Superintendent in planning and maintaining the project schedule, including manpower and material deliveries.
• Interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications to support field operations.
• Participate in project layout, field engineering, and verification of installed work.
• Monitor subcontractor activities to ensure alignment with plans and schedule.
• Identify and help resolve field issues, escalating as needed.
• Support management of subcontractors and field workforce to promote accountability.
• Assist in maintaining jobsite organization and workflow efficiency.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers and field staff to ensure proper document flow.
• Monitor safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture on site.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports and communicate delays or risks.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and record drawings.
• Utilize Bluebeam for document review and coordination.
• Support Lean Construction practices and continuous improvement.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred

Equivalent field experience (e.g., Foreman, Field Engineer) will be considered

Internship experience with a commercial contractor preferred

2–5 years of relevant commercial construction experience
