Job summary

Imperial Construction in the DFW area is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the Superintendent on commercial projects from planning through closeout. You will help coordinate field activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with contract documents, schedules, budgets, and Imperial’s quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial construction, strong field coordination, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities on an active jobsite.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of commercial construction experience, including at least one full project cycle as an Assistant Superintendent.
• Experience assisting with the supervision of field personnel and subcontractors.
• Working knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, quality standards, and jobsite safety.
• Strong scheduling, organization, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with owners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, scheduling software, Procore, and related construction technology.
• Three references from project owners and/or architects on previous projects are required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Superintendent with daily field operations, planning, scheduling, and coordination.
• Assist with the supervision of field personnel, subcontractors, and construction activities.
• Review work and materials for compliance with contract documents and quality standards.
• Help keep project activities aligned with the established schedule and budget.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite in accordance with applicable safety standards.
• Identify field issues and work with the project team to develop practical solutions.
• Communicate with owners, architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project team members.
• Document meeting discussions and action items for all field-related project meetings.
• Serve as a backup company representative and project point of contact when needed.
