Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Assistant Superintendent in the Greater Boston area for healthcare construction projects up to $100M. You will assist the lead Superintendent with master planning, coordinate subcontractor meetings, monitor schedules, and enforce safety standards on occupied sites.

You will be responsible for overseeing subcontractors, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring QA/QC across high-profile multifamily projects.

Qualifications

• Experience working on large projects, Healthcare and Occupied experience preferred.
• 3+ years of construction experience.
• Ability to effectively lead and communicate with owners and peers.
• Eager to grow into a lead superintendent.
• Ability to travel within Boston as needed.
• Exceptional organization, time-management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead Superintendent on the master plan of the project.
• Direct, coordinate, and facilitate meetings for subcontractors, architects, and local authorities.
• Manage subcontractors, schedule, budget, and timeline on high-profile multifamily projects across Greater Boston.
• Enforce OSHA safety rules and coordinate inspections.
• Identify schedule slippage and provide recovery plans.
• Prepare and distribute Daily Construction Reports (DCRs).
• Host weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and provide detailed minutes.
• Hold start-up meetings with subcontractors to review scope, schedule and safety requirements.
• Support logistics planning and QA/QC program, including inspecting and approving work.
• Assist in preparing RFIs and proposing solutions; seek efficiency opportunities.
• Manage close-out including punch lists, as-built reviews, and demobilization.

The Assistant Superintendent role will be responsible for assisting the lead Superintendent as needed. The role includes directing, coordinating and facilitating meetings for subcontractors, monitoring schedules, etc. The Asst. Superintendent will also establish an effective and professional on-site working relationship with owners, engineers and vendors on Healthcare projects up to $100M.

Description

• As an Assistant Superintendent you will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent on the master plan of the project
• Direct, coordinate, and facilitate meetings for subcontractors, architects, and local authorities
• Actively assist in management of subcontractors, schedule, budget, and time-line on high-profile multifamily construction projects across Greater Boston
• Enforce all OSHA safety rules.
• Coordinate all required inspections (municipal, material, etc.).
• Identify schedule slippage & provide a recovery plan.
• Prepare & distribute detailed Daily Construction Reports (DCRs).
• Host weekly subcontractor coordination meetings & provide detailed meeting minutes.
• Hold start-up meetings with subcontractors to review scope of work, schedule & safety requirements.
• Support logistics planning.
• Manage QA / QC program, including inspecting & approving the work product.
• Assist in the preparation of RFIs, providing recommended solutions for consideration.
• Seek opportunities to enhance project efficiency.
• Manage efficient & timely project close-out including punch list completion, as-built review, attic stock demobilization, etc.
• Maintain current OSHA required certifications (30-hour, CPR, scaffold, etc.)

Profile
