Job summary

Absher Construction, a long‑standing Pacific Northwest contractor, seeks an Assistant Superintendent for Commercial Construction. This role supports project leaders on WA sites, planning procedures, managing schedules, and coordinating materials while supervising field craft workers to keep projects on track.

The ideal candidate has commercial building experience, strong leadership and communication, and a proven ability to develop site logistics plans while ensuring safety and quality across

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial construction.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and technical competency across all scopes.
• Ability to manage the job site; coordinate tools and materials; ensure safe cleanup.
• Experience supervising multiple contractors and craft crews.
• Experience developing and maintaining site logistics plans.
• Broad understanding of construction industry functions.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentorship abilities.
• Build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Assist superiors in planning construction procedures, specifications, work schedules, and material needs.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of field craft workers on job sites.
• Oversee self‑performed scopes of work and profitability, including material ordering and scheduling deliveries.
• Monitor costs and maintain scheduled activities to ensure project milestones.
