Job summary

Cityscape Recruitment USA in Wayne, NJ is seeking an experienced Assistant Construction Superintendent to join a well-established General Contractor on public-sector projects. You will support field operations, help manage schedules, and assist the Superintendent to keep projects on track.

Requirements include 2+ years in commercial construction, ability to read drawings and specs, Procore or similar software, strong communication skills, and OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction experience in an Assistant Superintendent or equivalent.
• Public-sector project experience is strongly preferred and beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; detail oriented.
• Experience with Procore or similar construction software is preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Assistant Construction Superintendent Wanted

A well-established General Contractor is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join their growing construction team in New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with experience on public-sector projects who is looking to take the next step in their career.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with the day-to-day management of construction projects.


• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and site activities to maintain project schedules.


• Monitor work for quality, safety, and compliance with project plans and specifications.


• Assist with project scheduling, site logistics, inspections, and daily reports.


• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals.


• Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and owners.


• Help identify and resolve field issues and keep projects progressing on schedule.


• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial construction experience in an Assistant Superintendent or similar field role.


• Public construction experience is strongly preferred.


• Experience with schools, municipal buildings, government facilities, higher education, or other public-sector projects is a plus.


• Strong understanding of construction means and methods.


• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.


• Strong communication and organizational skills.


• Procore or similar construction software experience preferred.


• OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
