Job summary

The Bannett Group seeks an Assistant Field Superintendent to join our commercial construction team in the New Jersey area. This full‑time salaried role involves on‑site leadership, coordinating subcontractors, and supporting daily project activities from preconstruction through closeout.

You’ll work with experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, travel to sites across NJ, PA, NY, and the Mid‑Atlantic, and advance your career with mentoring and hands‑on learning on commercial building

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of commercial construction field experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• OSHA 30 Certification (or ability to obtain).
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency using an iPad, email, and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle.
• Willingness to travel daily to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing daily construction activities.
• Coordinate subcontractors and daily jobsite operations.
• Support project scheduling and progress tracking.
• Monitor jobsite safety and OSHA compliance.
• Participate in inspections with building officials.
• Coordinate deliveries and material staging.
• Maintain project documentation, as‑built drawings, and surveys.
• Communicate with owners, architects, subcontractors, and the project team.
• Help ensure projects remain on schedule while meeting quality standards.
