Job summary

Actalent in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking an Assistant Supervisor for Construction Projects to support day-to-day site supervision, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and ensure tasks meet project plans, specifications, and quality standards on active sites.

You will report to the site supervisor, help monitor progress, resolve issues promptly, and uphold safety guidelines while aiding with basic documentation and clear team communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Work Environment

This position is based on active construction sites, where work takes place around ongoing building activities, materials handling, and equipment use. The role involves working outdoors and indoors depending on project needs and may require standing, walking, and moving around the site for extended periods. The work environment is fast-paced and team-oriented, with a focus on safety, clear communication, and cooperation among all onsite personnel. Appropriate construction site attire and protective gear are required in line with safety standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
