Job summary

Ryan Companies is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate the work of all Ryan employees, subcontractors and project management on the jobsite for timely, on-budget completion in Seattle, WA.

You will read blueprints, enforce the Project Safety Manual, manage subcontractors, track CPM schedules, monitor budgets, and lead the field team to deliver quality results while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol test required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand plans.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the work of Ryan employees, subcontractors and project management on the jobsite.
  • Develop and track CPM schedule and monitor schedule progress.
  • Manage subcontractors in the performance of their work.
  • Understand and work within the project budget for your portion.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to direct project personnel.
  • Assist with material procurement and enforce safety procedures.
  • Monitor quality and address issues to maintain project standards.

Job Description

The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for the coordination of the work of all Ryan employees, subcontractors and project management on the jobsite for completion on time and on budget.

Some things you can expect to do:
  • Administer project safety per Ryan safety policies and procedures and develop a job specific Job Safety/Hazard Analysis for their portion of work.
  • Manage subcontractors in the performance of their work.
  • Develop and understand a CPM computer-generated schedule and be able to track that schedule.
  • Understand the entire construction budget and work within their portion of the budget for their work.
  • Read and comprehend blueprints, plans and specifications in order to give proper direction to project personnel.
  • Assist with material procurement.
  • Work efficiently and independently.
  • Enforce site specific Project Safety Manual.
  • Engage in Quality Control practices.
