Job summary

THS National, LLC is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for Huntington, WV to oversee multifamily construction projects. You will assist in planning, directing, and coordinating activities with subcontractors, vendors, and maintenance staff to deliver on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include inspecting sites, ensuring safety compliance, documenting progress in Procore, and coordinating procurement of materials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction management or site management of New Construction.
• Experience on New Construction Projects.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
• Excellent communication, detail orientation, and ability to prioritize.

• Meet with maintenance staff at closeout to confirm punch items.
• Ensure procedures meet specifications, start/completion dates, and budgets.
• Enforce safety policies for THS employees and trade partners.
• Inspect properties under construction and coordinate repairs or adjustments.
• Ensure work is on schedule, on budget, and aligned with contract scope.
• Document daily/weekly reports in Procore for PM and customers.
• Assist in procuring materials, trade partners, and vendors.

Essential Job Details

• Assists the Superintendents with their daily duties involving overseeing the sub vendors, and materials.
• Meets with existing building maintenance staff upon closing to ensure necessary punch items and scope has been met.
• Evaluates specifications for plan procedures, start and completion dates are met and proper trade partners are secured and notified.
• Ensure all safety policies are followed by THS employees and trade partners
• Inspects property and units under construction regularly to ensure the work conforms to specifications, budget and schedule and initiates any repair or replacement needs and/or adjustment of working procedures. Regularly communicates with the project team regarding unit and property improvement status.
• Ensure work done per schedule per contract on time on budget with proper scope of work.
• Document all daily/weekly reports in Procore for PM and customers.
• Assists in procuring materials, trade partners, and vendors for projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction management or a related field, with a focus on site management of New Construction.
• Experience working on New Construction Projects.
• Working knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
• Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline-oriented.
• Excellent Time Management.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors, and employees at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to keep an even temper and stay cool under pressure.
• A Clean driving record.
