Overview
Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a traveling Assistant Superintendent to join our national industrial sector team. The role requires 3‑5 years of successful project management experience in construction and a passion for working in a fast, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage subcontractor performance.
- Develop and track CPM schedules.
- Manage overall general construction budgets and safety programs.
- Comprehend all design documents and review shop drawings.
- Develop material procurement lists and incorporate them into the master schedule.
- Establish and monitor QC program.
- Value-engineer throughout projects.
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with all project team members.
- Make sound decisions and seek creative solutions to problems using all available resources.
- Create raving fans and sell additional work.
- Travel for projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3‑5 years of on‑site construction management experience.
- Post‑high school education or equivalent in the construction field.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol test and subsequent random testing.
- Supervision skills and ability to mentor subordinates.
- Scheduling experience using MS Project and/or Primavera.
- Knowledge of current building codes and familiarity with the local construction market.
- Spanish language ability is a plus but not required.
