Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist in Compton, CA. This temporary role focuses on engaging with guests, consulting on hair care needs, and qualifying for a stylist position within 4–6 months under the mentorship of Elite or Master Stylists.

During months 4–6 you may begin servicing guests of your own while continuing to learn advanced techniques, product knowledge, and excellent guest service practices in a fast-paced salon environment.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license is required.
• Ability to perform haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, and related services.
• Strong communication and guest-service skills.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to store goals related to retail and services.
• After month three, perform hair services including color, styling, and updos.
• Assist with product demonstrations, in-store events, and guest engagement.
• Maintain sanitation, safety, and adherence to procedures.
