Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Stylist for a temporary role. You’ll be mentored by Elite/Master Stylists for the first three months, focusing on guest service, learning technical skills, and performance.

After three months, you’ll begin servicing guests with hair design, color, styling, makeup applications, and more. You’ll participate in events and marketing initiatives while upholding safety, sanitation, and Ulta’s standards.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Basic understanding of latest salon techniques for performing haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, brow services, and ear piercing services.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent guest service and help meet store sales and service goals.
• Support mentor stylist in hair services and product recommendations.
• After month three, perform hair services including design, color, texture, and styling.
• Conduct product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience.
• Assist with in-store events, promotions, and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, following policies and procedures.
