Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products. This temporary role trains under a Mentor Stylist for the first 3 months, then gradually offers guest services and color, styling, and makeup applications.

You will assist with demonstrations, events, and maintaining salon standards. Ideal candidates have a Cosmetology license, strong communication, and a passion for beauty.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Ability to learn and apply salon techniques under mentorship.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend products and services.
• Support a mentorship Stylist and assist with sales, blowouts, and styling.
• After three months, perform hair services and makeup applications for guests.
• Demonstrate products and participate in store events to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain sanitation, organize station, and follow procedures.
