Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to consult with guests on hair care, recommend products, and service guests under mentor guidance. This temporary role prepares you for a stylist position with emphasis on guest experience, performance, and growth within the store.

During months 4–6, you will begin servicing guests of your own while continuing to learn advanced techniques, product knowledge, and store procedures in a vibrant beauty environment.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license is required.
• Prior salon experience preferred.
• Demonstrated passion for beauty and guest service.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests, consult on hair care needs and recommend products/services.
• Support and be mentored by Elite/Master Stylist for first 3 months.
• After month three, begin performing hair services and demonstrations.
• Assist in in-store events, promotions, and guest experience initiatives.
• Maintain safety, sanitation and compliance with procedures.
