Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care, and recommend products and services. This temporary role starts under the mentorship of a senior stylist for the first 3 months, then gradually takes on guests of their own while focusing on guest experience and productivity.

A passion for the beauty industry, strong guest service, and willingness to learn new techniques are essential, with potential growth into a full stylist role.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required or actively pursuing licensure.
• Ability to perform basic haircutting, coloring, styling, and makeup services.
• Strong communication to consult with guests and recommend services/products.

Responsibilities

• Engage guests and consult on hair care needs and services.
• Assist mentor stylist and progress to servicing guests independently after 3 months.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and drive sales of services and products.
• Perform hair services and demonstrate products to guests to enhance experience.
• Maintain salon cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Support in-store events and promotions to elevate guest experience.
