Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist in a temporary role designed to train into a stylist position. You will engage guests, assess haircare needs, and recommend services and products.

After three months you may begin servicing guests independently under mentorship, expanding your repertoire to color, cuts, and styling. The position emphasizes guest service, performance, and ongoing skill development, with a focus on maintaining high standards and following safety and sanitation procedures

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Ability to perform haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, treatment.
• Aptitude to develop skills in all service categories.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests and consult on hair care needs.
• Recommend products and services to guests.
• Perform hair services after training period (months 4–6) including design, color, styling, and makeup applications where applicable.
• Support in-store events and promotions to enhance guest experience.
• Follow safety, sanitation and infection control procedures.
