Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist for a temporary position to train toward a stylist role. You will consult with guests on hair care needs, recommend services and products, and support senior stylists in delivering high-quality treatments.

After month four, you may begin servicing guests of your own, performing hair design, color, makeup applications, and related services while maintaining excellent guest service and store standards.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Ability to perform haircutting, haircolor, styling, texture, and related services.
• Aptitude to learn additional technical skills and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to store goals for retail and service sales and guest loyalty.
• Assist mentor stylist with service delivery and product recommendations.
• After three months, service guests independently with a full range of hair services.
• Demonstrate products to drive sales and enhance guest experience.
• Support in-store events, promotions and marketing initiatives.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation and procedure standards; stay informed on industry trends.
