Job summary

Ulta Beauty, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Stylist to engage guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend services and products. This temporary position supports an Elite or Master Stylist during a 3-month mentorship and begins servicing guests of their own in months 4–6.

The role requires a cosmetology license, strong guest service, and a passion for learning new hair techniques and color services in a fast-paced salon environment.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license required.
• Basic understanding of latest salon techniques and products.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests, assess hair care needs, and recommend services and products.
• Support mentor stylist and perform services after month three.
• Assist with retail and service goals, and participate in in-store events.
• Maintain sanitation, organize station, and follow safety protocols.
• Build guest relationships and contribute to a total-store guest experience.
