Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking an Assistant Stylist in our Las Vegas salon to engage with guests, consult on hair care needs, and recommend services and products. This temporary role prepares talent for a stylist position, with mentorship from an Elite or Master Stylist during the first 3 months.

After three months, you will begin servicing guests, perform hair design, color, makeup applications, and related services, while contributing to sales, guest experience, and shop operations.

Qualifications

• Cosmetology license.
• Basic understanding of latest salon techniques for haircutting, haircolor, lightening, styling, texture, treatment, extensions, makeup, brow services, and ear piercing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Developed communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, and build clientele.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Assist mentor stylist in meeting or exceeding sales and productivity goals for hair services and haircare products.
• After month three, service guests with hair design, color, texture, styling, and makeup applications.
• Perform product demonstrations to drive sales and the guest service experience.
• Follow safety, sanitation and infection control procedures; comply with state board guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organize work areas; ensure guest-readiness at all times.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings for professional development.
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty dress code and protect company assets.
