Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Coraopolis, PA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to assist with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will supervise daily tasks, support opening and closing, coordinate merchandise, and help maintain clean, well-stocked areas while upholding safety and company policies.

You will train and develop Store Associates, protect store assets, and ensure exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Growth opportunities exist within retail leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, interpret operational directives and merchandise schematics.
• Prior store management or supervisory experience preferred in retail, grocery, or drug environments.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks regularly.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and answer questions.
• Coordinate merchandise transfers from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling damaged stock.
• Record keeping including payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean store and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash and inventory.
• Ensure policy compliance and safe, respectful environment.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of associates.
