Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Goodyear, AZ to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise and train store associates.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, friendly shopping environment. This is a full-time on-site position at our Goodyear store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/standing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to read, interpret and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
