Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in New Iberia, LA to support store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with daily store activities, train associates, manage opening/closing procedures, and help ensure a clean, friendly environment while protecting assets.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to lead and develop store associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional display effectiveness and store frontage.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and payroll/scheduling records.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
• Train and develop Store Associates, ensuring a positive environment.
