Job summary

Leonard Buildings and Truck Accessories in Winston-Salem, NC, seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily operations, drive sales, and ensure outstanding customer service. The role reports to the Store Manager and has no direct reports, with responsibilities spanning merchandising, staffing, and loss prevention.

You will collaborate with team members to deliver a superior shopping experience, manage inventory, and implement marketing initiatives to grow store profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, a related field, or equivalent job experience is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in sales.
• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Store Manager in all areas of daily operations including sales, customer service, and staff coordination.
• Assists with merchandising, inventory control, loss prevention, restocking, store cleaning.
• Ensures high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered and teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales service.
• Assists with the development and implementation of marketing strategies for the store to drive sales.
• Helps manage cash and inventory levels according to company standards.
• Assists in the training and development of staff to enhance sales and service performance, operational effectiveness, and positive customer interaction.
• Ensures the store is in compliance with all company policies and operational guidelines.
• Achieves financial objectives by effectively controlling expenses.
• Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers to understand service needs.
• Protects employees and customers by providing a safe, clean, and well-organized store.
