Job summary

American Girl Retail in Dallas is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in leading daily retail and restaurant operations. You will drive exceptional customer experiences, coach leaders, and execute merchandising and financial plans to meet sales goals.

The role requires five years of progressive retail leadership, strong coaching ability, and solid knowledge of store operations and inventory management. Evening/weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of progressive retail leadership in a high‑volume environment.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing retail management teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store and restaurant operations to achieve sales, customer service, financial, and operational goals.
• Develop, coach, and inspire leaders and associates through feedback and performance development.
• Drive sales by monitoring KPIs, influencing customer engagement, and improving conversion.
• Oversee inventory, merchandising standards, cash handling, and overall store readiness.
• Partner with the Store Manager to execute store strategies and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Manage facilities, vendor relationships, and safe, welcoming environments.
• Analyze financial performance and payroll to identify opportunities and improve efficiency.
