Job summary

Family Dollar in Newark, DE seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise and supervise associates to maintain store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail store management preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and record keeping including payroll and deposits.
