Dollar Tree Stores INC in Richmond, VA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is organized and displayed.

This role emphasizes leadership, training Store Associates, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. The position is on-site at our Nine Mile Rd location with part-time duties and aligned with company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays; ensure store front is presentable.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll,scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom; ensure safety and company standards.
