Job summary

Dollar Tree in Midland, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and handle opening/closing procedures.

This role requires strong communication and teamwork, with priority on maintaining a well-stocked store, enforcing policies, and supporting the Store Manager in training and supervising associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of store, bathrooms, floors, trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
