Job summary

Dollar Tree in Lake Jackson, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, supervise associates, and help ensure merchandise is well stocked and displays are effective.

This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to a safe, friendly shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks related to store operations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of storefront fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure associates follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash
• Other duties as assigned
