• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; must read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs; frequent walking, standing, and moving required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organization and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Move merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, and handle payroll, scheduling, cash deposits.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized; protect store assets.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including restrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
