Job summary

You will assist with opening/closing, merchandise flow from delivery to floor, inventory controls, loss prevention, and staff training under the Store Manager. Part-time position with opportunities to grow within a friendly retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret and explain directives
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, kneeling and climbing
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for ongoing campaigns
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect company assets, including store cash
• Ensure policy compliance and safety guidelines
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation
• Other duties as assigned
