Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Bloomingdale, IL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service and team development.

Duties include assisting with store functions, organizing merchandise, opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and training Store Associates. This part-time role offers opportunities for growth in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure the seasonal areas of the store are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests and any additional communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays
