Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations and customer service while developing the team. You will assist with merchandise flow, opening/closing tasks, and adherence to company policies, ensuring a positive shopping environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines and procedures by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
