Job summary

Family Dollar in Savannah, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop a high-performing team.

You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise organization from delivery to floor, scheduling, training, and ensuring compliance with safety and company policies while maintaining a positive, professional environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities.
• Greet customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; process directives and communications.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom; ensure store is up to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash; enforce policies and safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Adapt duties as assigned.
