Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Texas is seeking an Assistant Retail Store Manager in McKinney, TX. You will support daily operations of a Goodwill store and help create a positive, inclusive environment for team members and customers.

Responsibilities include hiring, training, scheduling, cash handling, inventory management, and ensuring safety and compliance. Strong leadership and communication are essential; 2+ years retail management preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of management/supervisory experience in retail preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong leadership and written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer skills for store operations.
• Reliable means of transportation to and from store.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in hiring, training, and supervising team members.
• Help manage daily store operations, including scheduling, cash handling, and inventory.
• Promote exceptional customer service and uphold safety and compliance standards.
• Ensure proper handling of donations and maintain a clean, organized environment.
• Monitor store performance and assist with reports, budgets, and loss prevention.
