Job summary

Dollar Tree in Garland, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the store team. You will assist with merchandise, opening and closing duties, and ensure a safe, welcoming shopping environment.

You will supervise and train store associates, adhere to company policies, manage payroll and scheduling, and protect store assets. A high school diploma and retail leadership are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
• Excellent customer service and organizational abilities
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and daily activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process directives and store communications
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits
• Maintain a well-stocked floor and organized stockroom
• Protect store assets, including cash
• Ensure adherence to safety and company policies
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop store associates
