Position Overview

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, driving sales, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

1. Generate Sales: Provide customer service to increase sales, meet or exceed individual and store objectives, and support visual merchandising guidelines.
2. Control Expenses: Protect assets, assist in scheduling, manage inventory, and ensure proper documentation and store opening/closing procedures.
3. Supervise Associates: Participate in training, recruit, motivate, and ensure compliance with company policies, perform work of subordinates as needed, and communicate effectively at all levels.
4. Knowledge & Skills: High school diploma or equivalent, ability to produce sales results, strong communication skills, proficiency with computers, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
5. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in retail sales, leadership skills, and ability to work independently. Compensation includes potential bonuses, store discounts, and competitive wages based on experience and location.
