Job summary

Dollar Tree in Wisconsin is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist with day-to-day store functions, customer service, and team development. You will help organize merchandise, perform opening/closing tasks, and ensure a well-stocked store and secure assets.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and the capacity to work in a high-energy team environment while upholding company policies and delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily store operations and activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures, displays, and store cleanliness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record-keeping, and cash handling.
• Ensure a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
