Job summary

Dollar Tree in Chattanooga, Tennessee is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help supervise day-to-day activities, assist customers, organize merchandise, and ensure the seasonal areas remain stocked and presentable.

This full-time leadership role requires strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate related store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff compliance.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of store including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
