Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Kiln, MS location. You will support store operations, help customers, and develop the store team to maintain high standards.

You will participate in merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for customers and staff. The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with a focus on teamwork and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail/grocery/drug store environments preferred.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service and address questions/concerns.
• Help organize merchandise between delivery, stockroom, and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Follow corporate directives and store policies.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged merchandise, and records (including payroll and scheduling).
• Maintain clean, stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect & secure store assets including cash.
