Job summary

Family Dollar in Pittsfield, MA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help train associates, and ensure the sales floor, stockroom, and fixtures stay organized and presentable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Support customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and record keeping.
• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect company assets including cash and loss prevention.
• Help supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional customer interactions.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and procedures.
