Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, drive customer service excellence, and develop the team. You will assist in receiving and stocking, maintaining merchandising standards, and executing company directives with a focus on efficiency and loss prevention.

The role requires strong communication, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to a safe, positive work environment. This is a full-time position in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform multiple physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates; ensure a safe, respectful environment.
