Job summary

Family Dollar in McCamey, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with day-to-day activities and maintain a clean, organized store environment.

The role involves supporting inventory, merchandising, scheduling, training, and safe operations while delivering friendly service to customers and ensuring compliance with corporate directives.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to train and develop team members.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests and other communications.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling records, and cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
