Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Covington, KY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities and help customers in a positive, approachable manner.

This role involves organizing merchandise, executing opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked store aligned with company standards. It is a part-time position located in Covington, KY.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store/retail management experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications related to activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits) and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
