Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Crossville, Tennessee is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure displays remain appealing.

You will also participate in openings/closings, follow corporate directives, supervise associates, maintain safety standards, and keep the store clean and well-stocked. This role requires strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and frequent walking/standing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure policy compliance by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
