Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Huntington Park, CA to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, coordinate merchandise flow, train associates, and uphold store standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effects of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and supervise/train Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
