Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Conway, AR location. This role involves helping with daily activities, organizing merchandise, and ensuring smooth opening and closing procedures.

You will assist in merchandise ordering, loss prevention, and payroll/scheduling tasks while maintaining a clean, safe, and friendly store environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle frequent movement and standing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment with customer focus.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and maintaining records (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
